  1. Mageia IS user-friendly!! You kan use the MGA online docs to familiariz your self with Mageia’s pakage manager. Mageia’s GUI is the best of all the Linux GUI’s!

  2. Mageia has configurable desktops. You can configure the predefined ones, or customize your own! And if you switch from MS windows, start with Mageia 8, because it seems to be more Windows-friendly as previous Mageias were.

  3. haha it is not that difficult to install Pclinuxos, but is not “user-friendly” if you are used to windows

  4. Mageia only runs on i686 and x86_64 architecture. Pclinuxos runs on more arquitectures like 32 and 64 bit i486 and i686

  5. Mageia has a large community, i’ve never read a post on their forums and not receive a satisfatory answer. If i need something from the community i’ll just go there, and i know i will get what i’m looking for.

  6. i use pclinuxos to write novels. It may not be as eye-candy as mageia but it’s powerful and let me work stably for hours.
